Thank you Scotts Head Community!

On behalf of the Scotts Head Community Group, a massive THANK YOU to everyone who braved the damp weather and turned up to the Save Scotts Head rally yesterday.

It was truly amazing to see the community so united and supportive of the campaign to stop the Ingenia development proposal – there was a really positive vibe and enthusiasm that we are all in this together.

You can see the NBN News report about the event at:

A special thank you goes to Tegan Evans for her Welcome to Country, and to Rhys Pacey and Uncle Ritchie for their thoughts.

Also, thanks to Angela Turner, a resident of the Scotts Head area for over 40 years, and Moira Ryan, for sharing with us their Scotts Head stories; our fantastic BBQ crew; and volunteers that staffed the information stall at the Surf Club, handed out stickers, collected donations and basically made it all happen.
And, of course, a huge thanks to our wonderful musical performers, Ali Christopher and her daughter Rachel. Their voices and songs were superb and kept our spirits upbeat and energised!
We are taking a couple of days off to recover and then we’ll be back on the campaign with renewed energy. There is still a long way to go before we win this battle but we are up for it.

We’ll keep the community updated via emails, via the web-page at www.savescottshead.com and via the Scotts Head Community Group Facebook page.

Again, a huge heartfelt thanks. Together, we’ve got this.
